The festival also announced that "Avengers" star Jeremy Renner will be the talent ambassador this year along with Donnie Yen, Korean star D O, and Miriam Yeung.
"Paddington 2" will be the opening film at the festival, which will screen over 40 movies in various categories including the Competition section, Gala, Flying Daggers, Best of Fest Panorama, Crossfire, Special Presentation and more, across seven days.
The line-up for the 'Special Presentation' category includes Guillermo del Toro's "The Shape of Water" and George Clooney's "Suburbicon".
The festival jury will be headed by French director Laurent Cantet along with actor Joan Chen, Austrian director Jessica Hausner, author Lawrence Osborne and director Royston Tan.
"IFFAM is such a young and vibrant film festival brimming with new possibilities and potentials to tap into.
"With our theme of this year - 'A New Avenue to the World of Films', we aspire to tailor a high-quality programme fuelled by fresh new elements to fascinate our audience, as we strive for the vision to forge IFFAM into a prestigious brand in the world," President of the IFFAM organising committee SennaFernandes said in a statement.
