Gavaskar, who is the interim head of the BCCI for conducting the league, today met the teams and briefed them on the preparations for the upcoming season.
According to BCCI, Gavaskar had a discussion with the franchises on conducting the popular Twenty20 league.
"The franchises shared their views and extended their support and cooperation for a successful Pepsi IPL 2014," a BCCI release said.
Gavaskar was pushed into the job following a Supreme Court directive.
