IPS probationers told to imbibe values of Constitution

The Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) here Aruna Bahuguna today asked the young IPS probationers to imbibe the values of Constitution andstrive to make the country proud.
"My message to you this Republic Day is to commit yourself to our constitutional ideals when you impart justice. Not in a superfluous sense but with erudition and deep understanding as befits the leaders of one of the world's largest police forces," she said in her address in the Republic Day event at the Academy.
Bahuguna unfurled the tri-colour.
The Director addressed the 139 IPS Probationers and 15 foreign probationers from Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan who are currently undergoing the Basic Training in the Academy, a release from the Academy said.

The Probationers took part in the March Past which was witnessed by the Academy Faculty, staff, general public, apart from students of SVPNPA Kendirya Vidyalaya andphysically challenged children from the neighbourhood institutions, it added.
