The school buildings will be constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 110 crore by the Public Works Department within two years, according to the Delhi Education Department.
Speaking at the function, Irani underlined the need to develop the educational infrastructure in the capital so that the increasing number of students get enrolled.
Of the seven schools, two belong to West District, four South West district and one to South East district.
"I have firm belief that the upcoming students from these seven schools would make a mark not only in the field of education but would also enrich the society...," Irani said at the function organised at the site of the new Senior Secondary School Building in Dwarka Sector-13.
