Ireland defeated UAE by two wickets in a Pool B cricket World Cup match against United Arab Emirates (UAE) here today.
Invited to bat, UAE scored a challenging 278 for nine, before Ireland chased it down with four balls to spare. Shamiman Anwar top scored with 106 for UAE.
Ireland got off to to a bad start. losing their first four wickets for 97. Gary Wilson and Kevin O'Brien were the main architects of Ireland's revival. Wilson scored 80 off 69 balls while Brien smashed a 25 ball 50.
