A Palestinian security official says a Palestinian man was killed during an Israeli arrest raid in the West Bank.
The official, Khaled Abdel Aziz, says the man, Islam Tubasi, died of wounds sustained in the shootout with Israeli soldiers early today. Another 3 Palestinians were wounded. The Israeli military says troops returned fire after Palestinians threw fire bombs and shot at them as they were trying to apprehend a suspect.
The wanted man was shot while trying to flee the scene and died at a hospital later.
Military spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner says there will be a review of the incident.
Last month, two Palestinians were killed in clashes during an arrest raid in Jenin.
