Refusing to entertain a PIL alleging that governance deficit has led to recent deaths from dengue, a bench of justices T S Thakur and V Gopala Gowda said it was for the two governments to sit together and resolve the disputes and give good governance.
"This is a matter of governance and governance deficit, you cannot challenge. Your concern, we understand that there is the central government on the one hand and the government of Delhi on the other. ... These problems can be sorted at their ends. If any order is bad then we can look into it," the bench said.
"Is this some kind of 'amrit dhara' petition. These are not matters in which we come in. If you bring a specific case, we can examine who is faulting...," it said.
It said if the two governments do not resolve their disputes and create governance problem, then the people will pass "appropriate verdict at appropriate time".
