ITBP Hawildar commits suicide

An ITBP havildar has committed suicide at his camp office in Bihar's Katihar district, an official said today.
Havildar Pradeep Kumar (22) of the ITBP's 48th battalion fatally shot himself with a service revolver at the central force's camp office at Korha block late last night due to unspecified reasons, its commanding officer I.K. Jha said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe was on to find out the circumstances under which the ITBP jawan took the extreme step, he said.
Kumar hailed from Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Jha said, adding his kins have been informed about the incident.
