Krishna Kumar Jaiswal who was at the village on leave, had a heated debate with his neighbour Collector Yadav over parking of the latter's motorcycle last night, SP D P N Pandey said.
This afternoon, Jaiswal beat up Yadav over the same issue and as his sister rushed to help him, opened several rounds from his licenced .315 bore rifle, the SP said. Both Yadav and his sister were rushed to Varanasi hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Additional force has been deployed in the area and the situation is under control.
