The nod to the annual plan was given by the Chief Minister while reviewing the performance and achievements of the PDA and MDA in separate meetings here yesterday, an official spokesman said.
In the meeting, Abdullah said there was a need to conserve Jammu and Kashmir's eco-balance and biodiversity in order to sustain the tourism glory of the state.
He said focusing attention on protecting water bodies is also of equal significance and the tourism development authorities have a special role in conserving environment along with creating necessary tourist infrastructure.
He asked the Tourism department to take necessary measures for making Mansbal a befitting water sports lake.
