The event was orgainsed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (JKPWWA) and 53 stalls were set up by various police centres at the Gulshan Ground.
The fair is held twice every year in the capital cities of Srinagar and Jammu.
Mehbooba visited the stalls set up by police centres from the three regions of the state - Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu.
"We are observing this mela twice a year to strengthen the bond with the public," Director General of Police S P Vaid told reporters.
