"We had recommended online examination for CET on the pattern of other competitive examinations held across the country," Kuldeep Khoda CVC, Jammu and Kashmir, said here.
Khoda, who has sent recommendations in this regard to the State and Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), has suggested installation of CCTVs at exam centres for recording any impersonation, cheating and other violations.
Khoda also recommended frisking of candidates to prevent passage of any prohibitory gadgets inside examination halls.
The Commission had also suggested automatic photography at entry points of examination halls.
Former BOPEE Chairman Mushtaq Ahmed Peer, whose post retirement contractual services were terminated, had yesterday appeared before the Crime Branch in Srinagar after being named accused in the alleged sale of CET question papers last year.
Police had conducted raids at his residences in Jammu and Srinagar few days back in connection with the probe.
The Crime Branch started its probe after a complaint alleged that 12 candidates had qualified the CET 2012 exam by purchasing the question papers from a syndicate that included some officials close to the then BOPEE chairman.
