The accused was arrested in Samba district after a complaint was lodged by the girl's father, he said, adding the victim was allegedly kidnapped on the intervening night of March 14-15.
During the search operations, police raided different locations in Samba and Udhampur districts as well as in the Jammu border area yesterday, the officer said.
Acting on a tip-off, police rescued the girl from Papad belt of Mansar and the accused was arrested, he said.
