J&K Guv calls for security audit of security establishments
Press Trust of India Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today called for a time-bound security audit of "sensitive and important" security establishments in the state.
The governor and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti held a meeting to discuss the security situation in the wake of a militant attack on a BSF camp near the Srinagar airport.
The meeting lasted one hour.
"The governor advised the chief minister to see that the heads of all forces hold an urgent meeting for a time-bound security audit of all sensitive and important security establishments in J&K," a spokesperson said.
The governor said he had spoken to DGP S P Vaid immediately after he was informed about the militant attack.
Vohra and the CM discussed a host of other issues, including the need for heads of departments and administrative secretaries to put in extra efforts to ensure implementation of all development and welfare programmes.
