J-K Guv, Sayeed pay tributes to Ambedkar

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today paid their tributes to Dalit icon B R Ambedkar, on the eve of his 125th birth anniversary.
In a message, the Governor recalled that Ambedkar, an outstanding legal luminary, had made a signal contribution to the framing of the Indian Constitution and nation building, particularly in regard to the uplift of the weaker sections of society.
While Sayeed, in his message, said that Dr Ambedkar was a great social reformer and legal luminary who played a pivotal role in framing of the Indian Constitution.
He also remembered Dr Ambedkar's contribution in upliftment of the needy, downtrodden and weaker sections of the society.
