"The event is being organised to promote sports among the youth of the state. More than 1500 cyclists including 50 cyclists of national fame have registered their participation in the mega event. Some international cyclists are also participating in the race," IGP (IR Kashmir) S A Watali said.
Watali, who is organising secretary, chaired a meeting here to finalise the arrangements for the event.
He said cyclists, male and female, of different age groups are participating in the race and the registration process for the event is going on in full swing.
Similarly in junior category, top five winners would be awarded Rs 30,000; Rs 25,000; Rs 20,000; Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively, he said.
