"To promote voter awareness and encourage youths to reach the polling stations on the day of polling to cast their votes, a six km Democracy Run would be organised on November 16," Jammu District Election Officer Ajeet Kumar Sahu said.
He said that the run would start from Higher Secondary School, Satwari and will pass through Satwari Chowk, Nai Basti, Asia Crossing, Vikram Chowk, Fly Over, MLA Hostel, Rambershwar Temple, Geeta Bhawan, Parade, before culminating at Parade Ground.
"Any person interested for participating in the run can apply online on www.Wakeupjammu.Com/registration," he said.
He said that registration for the event was free and prizes in various categories shall be given to the winners.
