J K Rowling novels to be adapted for TV

Author J K Rowling's detective novels, which she wrote under the name Robert Galbraith, is to be adapted by BBC for small screens.
The 49-year-old author's novels 'The Cuckoo's Calling' and 'The Silkworm' will form the basis of the series which will be made with assistance from the author.
"It's a wonderful coup for BBC TV to be bringing JK Rowling's latest books to the screen. With the rich character of Cormoran Strike at their heart, these dramas will be event television across the world," BBC director of television Danny Cohen said.
Filming details for the series have not been determined yet and the number of episodes for the series are still in discussion. The new crime drama will be produced by Bronte Films.

The 'Harry Potter' author wrote 'The Cuckoo's Calling' under a male pseudonym last year, which immediately became the bestseller only three months after publication.
BBC along with HBO has already made a small screen version of Rowling's 'A Casual Vacancy', which is due to be aired in February.
