YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today completed 1000-km distance during his ongoing 3000-km Praja Sankalpa foot march.
Jagan, Leader of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, launched the foot march, a mass outreach programme ahead of 2019 polls, on November 6, 2017, at his native village Idupulapaya in Kadapa district.
"Chandrababu Naidu government's atrocities and corrupt practices are omnipresent across the state, from a village to the (state) capital. Not one brick has been laid for the capital in the last three years," Reddy said while lashing out at the TDP-led government.
He said various sections of the society, including farmers, students, women, are experiencing a great harship under the current government. "Weavers and peasants are committing suicide," he said.
During his foot march, Reddy, son of former united Andhra Pradesh chief minister (late) YS Rajasekhar Reddy, has been promising a slew of measures, including the provision of pension to the needy from the age of 45 years, if he is voted to power in 2019.
He has so far covered 33 Assembly constituencies in Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapuramu and Chittoor districts before reaching SPS Nellore district today.
Reddy is facing a trial in the Hyderabad CBI special court in various illegal asset cases.
His foot march is expected to continue for at least four more months.
