Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today tabled the Union Budget in the Rajya Sabha after delivering his budget speech in the Lok Sabha.
The Finance Minister tabled a statement (in English and Hindi) of the estimated receipts and expenditure of the government for the year 2014-15, besides the Macro-Economic Framework Statement, the Medium-term Fiscal Policy Statement and the Fiscal Policy Strategy Statement.
After the brief tabling of his Budget speech and documents by the Finance Minister, Chairman Hamid Ansari adjourned the House for the day.
Soon after the House was adjourned, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh walked up to Jaitley and shared some moments with the Finance Minister and asked him about his health.
61-year-old Jaitley was seen explaining to Singh about the "cramp" in his back after he spoke for about 45 minutes in the Lok Sabha.
Some leaders of other political parties including Satish Misra were also seen asking Jaitley about this health.
The Finance Minister while reading out his budget speech in the Lok Sabha earlier in the day asked for a break as he was feeling unwell.
He resumed his speech after a five-minute break and Speaker Sumitra Mahajan allowed him to read out the remaining part of his speech while being seated.
