"The championship which started in 1951 with the aim to support sports culture and improve the relationship between police and the citizen, will begin from July 25 in Jalandhar," said Arun Pal Singh, Inspector General, Punjab Armed Police.
"Players from police and paramilitary forces from 25 states and union territories will be competing in the event," Singh said.
"The five-day event includes swimming, diving and water polo. A 12-km cross country race will also be organized," Singh said.
