Jammu records season's highest temperature at 43.6 degrees C

Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, today experienced the hottest day of the season with the maximum temperature touching 43.6 degrees Celsius.
The maximum increased by 1.3 degrees since yesterday, a MeT department official said.
The minimum temperature in the city was 26.2 degrees Celsius.
The day temperature has been increasing daily for the past few days in Jammu.
On June 3, the maximum temperature was 40.2 degrees and minimum was 22 degrees, the official said.
Heatwave swept across the city, forcing people to remain indoors.
Dry hot weather will prevail in the state in the next few days, according to a MeT department forecast.
