A Jat outfit today threatened to block rail and road traffic to Punjab if the government of the neighbouring state failed to resolve the Sutlej Yamuna Link canal issue by May 1.
The Akhil Bharatiya Adarsh Jat Mahasabha in its meeting in Narwana area of the district said the water is their right and they are ready to go to any level to claim that.
"We have taken a decision that if the SYL issue is not resolved by Punjab government then the Mahasabha will seal the borders of Punjab and no vehicle of the state will be allowed to enter Delhi," Mahasabha President Pawanjeet Banwala said.
He said the rail tracks will be blocked too and people from Punjab travelling in trains to Delhi and Haryana will be sent back.
