Jayalalithaa orders solatium to two tea estate workers

: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today ordered solatium of Rs.Three lakh each to two women estate workers who died after they were trapped under a huge tree on May 8 near Pandalur in Nilgiris district.
The women, working in Tamil Nadu Tea Plantation Corporation estate, were plucking tea leaves when the tree fell on them in the impact of heavy rains. They died on the spot, while another woman was injured.
The CM expressed her condolences to the bereaved families and also ordered payment of Rs 25,000 to the injured and wished her speedy recovery, an official release said here.
