JD(U) can't poke nose into BJP affairs, asserts Naidu

Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today criticised former NDA ally JD(U) for questioning the elevation of Narendra Modi in the party and advised the Sharad Yadav-led outfit not to "poke its nose into other parties".
"It is our right to decide who should preside, who should be the chairman of the campaign committee. If anyone says who should be the JD(U) President, I can't say," he said, commenting on the party breaking its 17-year-long alliance with BJP.
Refusing to accept the reason (Narendra Modi's elevation) cited by JD(U) to walk out of the alliance, he said, "The reason given by JD(U) is not all satisfactory. There is something to it. JD(U) had itself earlier praised Modi's leadership. Why should there be any objection now?"

Naidu demanded that JD(U) tender a reasonable reason for pulling out from the NDA alliance.
He said there would be a realignment of political forces before announcement of Lok Sabha elections.
"Congress is rattled after they heard the name of Modi. Now, Congress has gone back to its old tune that secularism is in danger. But Congress is ruling Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) hobnobbing with MIM," he claimed.
Naidu mocked the efforts by some leaders for formation of a Third Front or Federal Front and called it a "mirage and a failed experiment".
"Disgruntled leaders cannot join together and provide an alternative front in the country. It will be BJP which will emerge as the largest party after the next elections and be in a position to form the government with the help of other parties," he said.
