State President of Janata Dal (United) M P Veerendra Kumar, MP, today condoled the death of IUML national leader E Ahamed saying the demise has created a 'huge vaccum' in the political arena of the country.
In his message here, Veerendra Kumar said irrespective of his political affiliation, Ahamed had cordial relationship with all the leaders of his time.
He was great a political leader as well as an eminent person and his ability to closely associate with every one had helped in becoming India's representative in international forums, including the United Nations, Veerendra Kumar said.
Ahamed, who held various positions from Municipal Chairmnan to MP and Central Minister, involved himself actively in solving the problems of the comman man. He was the front runner in the fight for minority rights at the national level and his approach was very much helpful for the people of our country in matters like "Nitaqat" and Haj Quota".
Above all his regional, state and national level identities, Ahamed had occupied an important space in his working arena, the CMD of 'Mathrubhumi' Malayalam daily said.
The JD(U) leader also criticised the Centre saying if the Central government has any courtesy it should have postponed today's budget presentation.
Dr Azad Moopan, Chairman of the Malabar Institute of Medical Science (MIMS) said in his condolence message that a politician par excellence, Ahamed served his party, community and country exceptionally well in his five decades of public life.
