"Zero plus Zero plus Zero is equal to zero, according to mathematics," he said, referring to reports in a section of media, of the coming together of JD(U), RJD and Congress in the state for the Assembly polls.
"They have been rejected by people of Bihar in the recent Lok Sabha elections, hence their coming together to defeat NDA in the crucial Assembly polls in Bihar will have no impact," Kushwaha told reporters on his first visit here after becoming minister in the Narendra Modi dispensation.
RLSP contested three seats out of a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats in alliance with BJP in Bihar and won all the three. NDA bagged 31 seats in the state.
Kushwaha, a friend-turned foe of former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, empathised with rebel JD(U) leaders.
Kushwaha, who received a hero's welcome on his first arrival here after becoming a minister at the Centre, exuded confidence that NDA would keep its momentum of victory in the Assembly polls in Bihar next year.
Asked if he was a candidate for CM post in Bihar, Kushwaha denied it.
"Our concern is to end the existing misrule in Bihar and bring a popular NDA government after Assembly poll next year,"the RLSP chief said.
On his arrival here, he first went to garland the statue of late Jagdeo Prasad, a well-known OBC social worker.
