Jet Airways will introduce daily services from Kochi to Kuwait via Abu Dhabi, effective from May 16, a statement from the airline said.
The airline currently operates two flights between Mumbai and Kuwait and the new flight between Kochi and Kuwait via Abu Dhabi would be its first after the Jet-Etihad deal, in which the Abu-Dhabi based airline had picked up 24 per cent stake of the Indian private carrier.
Jet Airways would be operating its flight with Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft.
"The introduction of the new daily service would further strengthen Jet Airways' presence in the Gulf, where it has emerged as one of the leading carriers on this sector," the statement said.
It presently operates over 50 flights between India and the Gulf.
The airline currently operates to 72 destinations in India and abroad with 115 aircraft.
