Jeweller looted of 2.5 kg gold

A city-based jeweller was today robbed of 2.5 kg gold worth about Rs 77 lakh by five unidentified persons, police said today.
Dakshinamoorthy was on his way to Aranthangi in Pudukottai district when the gang attacked him with a knife and escaped with the jewellery, they said.
The jeweller has been hospitalised, police said.
