The competition, held between October 3-6 in Mumbai, was on the topic of transfer pricing of taxation law.
In a press statement, OP Jindal Global University (JGU) said that the winning team faced opponents from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, in the final round, which was judged by Bombay High Court judges.
"Kartik Prasad, Parvati Parkott and Alaukik Singh represented JGLS. All three winning students have been awarded internships with Nishit Desai Associates and lifetime memberships of the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners," the statement said.
Professor C Raj Kumar, the JGU Vice-Chancellor, said mooting was one of the most critical aspects of legal education which lay emphasis on research and analytical skills besides advocacy and intellectual rigour.
