Jharkhand 135/1 against A & A in Cooch Behar Trophy Under-16

Opener Vivek Kumar struck a superb unbeaten 81 runs to help Jharkhand pile up 135/1 at the end of the opening day of the four-day Cooch Behar Under-16 Trophy against Affiliated and Associated XI (A&A) here at the Moin ul haq stadium today.
Only 30 overs were bowled today as the match started five hours late due to dense fog.
Jharkhand won the toss and elected to bat first as Aditya Narayan and Vivek Kumar scored 124 runs for the first wicket partnership.
At tea, Jharkhand was 60/0 after 13 overs (Aditya Narayan 12 off 39 and Vivek Kumar 39 off 39 balls).

Local lad Abhishek Anand succeeded in breaking the opening partnership at 28.2 overs by bowling out Aditya Narayan (33) when the total score was 124.
Aditya scored 33 runs facing 90 balls with four boundaries.

At the end of the day, Jharkhand 135/1, Vivek Kumar 81 no facing 82 balls hit 15X4 and 1X6 and Rahil Reyaz Khan 10 (1X4) not out.
