The court has fixed June 11 for the next hearing, Singh said.
Besides Das, the then President of Jamshedpur Mahanagar committee of BJP Chandrasekhar Mishra and a party activist Amar Kumar Sharma also appeared in the court, they said.
According to a FIR lodged on the basis of statement of an official of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, it had been stated that Das, then a BJP candidate from Jamshedpur East Assembly segment, had opened a party camp office beside a temple without prior permission from East Singhbhum district administration in violation of the code of conduct.
