The two discussed implementation of the BharatNet project in Jharkhand and implementation of common duct project in Deogarh were discussed.
"All panchayats in the state have to connect to Optical Fiber Network under the BharatNet Project. By connecting rural Jharkhand with Internet connectivity, the road to development of rural areas will be strengthened," the release said.
The meeting also discussed about which model would be more suitable among all the available models of connectivity in the state.
The TRAI has begun a pilot project at Deoghar to showcase a common duct that can hold fibres and cables from multiple service providers, eliminating the need for digging up of roads.
