Jharkhand HC asks govt to ensure toilets in all girls' schools

Jharkhand High Court today directed the state government to ensure toilets were constructed in all remaining girls' schools across the state before the next academic session.
The direction to the HRD secretary was issued by the division bench of Chief Justice R Banumathi and Justice S Chandrasekhar.
Earlier the high court took suo motu cognisance and issued notice to the state government seeking a report on the issue.
The government informed the court that 1,800 out of 2,200 girls' schools in the state have toilets.
