Joining in in a reply by a minister during question hour, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said the proposed defence university would be opened and youths who pass Class 12 would be trained for three or five years in it.
It would make them fit for the police or Air Force or Army, Das added.
Speaker Dinesh Oraon asked the government if it could develop a 'concept' to set up technical universities, now seen in Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha.
Technical institutes would be set up in Palamau and Chhotanagpur divisions, he said, replying to BJP MLA Radhakrishna Kishore's query.
