Bhokta extended the deadline by another day after Mandal sought time to reply.
The Speaker had on August 2 served notices for to four other JVM MLAs - Nirbhay Kumar Sahabadi (Giridih), Jai Prakash Singh Bhokta (Semeria), Chandrika Mahata (Jamua) and Samresh Singh (Bokaro), against whom the JVM demanded disqualification under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution after they announced to join the BJP.
