Jharkhand will become most developed state, says CM

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the state is changing and it will become the most developed state of the country.

He said this while reviewing flagship schemes of the districts of Southern Chhotanagpur Circle of Jharkhand.

"I believe that Jharkhand will become the most developed state of the country with prompt and committed efforts," Das said.

Das said all the Anganwadi sevika of the state will be given a smart phone in which they will update all data about children.

All child development project officers will have the responsibility to train them on how to update data using smart phones, the chief minister said.

Tribal development committee or village development committee will be directly funded for development schemes up to Rs 5 lakh, an official release said.

Das added that the villagers will plan according to their priorities and work for the development of village.

Eight districts of the state will have "Ready to eat food plant" and work will start from January next year and the transportation of food to Anganwadi centres will be done through Sakhi mandal, Das said.

The Chief Minister said that water harvesting day will be celebrated on May 24 and from that day digging of 1000 ponds in the entire state will start and construction should be completed by June 7.

Das said 89 model schools have been set up in the state.
