Jilted lover shot bride in full public view

A jilted lover tonight shot at a bride on the stage in full public view at a marriage garden in Lalghati area of the city, police said.
The woman later succumbed to her injuries in the hospital,
The man, identified as one Anurag, was caught by the people present there soon after the incident and handed over to the police, they said.
He told police that he took the extreme step as the woman, identified as Jaishri Namdeo who was a doctor by profession, had allegedly cheated him, police said, adding further investigations were on.
Confirming the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) North Arvind Saxena said that senior police officials have reached the spot.
