Actor Jim Carrey is reportedly facing legal action after he failed to pay insurance for his workers at his New York art studio.
The 51-year-old funnyman launched his art studio in 2011 and has been fined by the Workers' Compensation Board of the State of New York for failing to carry workers' compensation insurance for last year, reported TMZ.
He has been charged with a hefty fine of USD 72,000 by the board, but has allegedly failed to pay and now he has been hit with a lawsuit.
A representative for Carrey said, "This is a clerical error on their part and will be cleared up immediately.
