Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today held talks with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, during which the current situation in the state and ways to contain militancy were discussed, officials said.
Both Sitharaman and Mufti also deliberated on the Army's operation in Kashmir, they added.
The meeting was also attended by Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra.
