JK cops found rifle near stream

The AK-56 rifle, its one magazine and 30 rounds were unearthed by a police party during patrolilng near the bank of Kawari stream in Kupwara town, 90 km from here, a police spokesman said.

The rifle was concealed underground by suspected militants apparently for later use, he said.
