JK polls: BJP candidate files nomination from Leh seat

BJP candidate from Leh Assembly constituency, Chhering Dorjay, today filed nomination papers from the seat in Ladakh region, which goes to polls in the first phase of Jammu and Kashmir elections on November 25.
"Chhering Dorjay, candidate of Bharatiya Janta Party filed his nomination paper from 48-Leh Assembly Constituency today in the office of the Returning Officer Leh," an official spokesman said here.
Dorjay was accompanied by Member of Parliament Ladakh, Thupstan Chewang, and other party members.
The notification for the seat was issued on October 28 and the last day for filing of nominations is November 5.
Leh goes to polls along with 14 other constituencies in the state on November 25.
