JNU incidents are unfortunate: Adityanath

Terming the JNU incidents as unfortunate, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath today said it was more "shameful and condemnable" that the teachers of the institution were also involved in such activities.
"The incidents at JNU are unfortunate but it is more shameful and condemnable that the teachers of the institute are also involved in such activities", Adityanath told reporters here.
Referring to the speech given by Kanhaiya Kumar after his release on interim bail, the BJP MP said that it needs to be seen how far the JNU students union leader has violated the conditions for his release.
"Every citizen's fundamental right to freedom has been provided by the constitution but it does not mean that one gets busy in conspiring against the country or that the traitors are glorified", Yogi said.

Adityanath said some elements in the JNU are misled and they need not be given undue importance.
"No Jinnah will be allowed to take birth in any of the educational institutions of the country," he said.
He asked the educational institutions to remain alert and to inculcate high values and standards among the students.
