Jon Hamm signs up for 'Minions'

'Mad Men' star Jon Hamm is set to lend his voice to 3D animated comedy 'Minions' alongside Sandra Bullock, who will play his on-screen wife.
The actor is set to lend his voice to the role of inventor Herb Overkill in the forthcoming Universal Pictures movie, reported Deadline.
The film, a spin-off of the 'Despicable Me' franchise, is set for release on December 19, 2014, and tells the story of the titular characters, who have served the most evil villains in the world since the beginning of time.
Illumination Entertainment's Chris Meledandri will produce
the movie alongside Janet Healy, with Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda set to direct the project.
'Despicable Me 2', a follow up to 2010's comedy animation 'Despicable Me', will see Steve Carell, Russell Brand and Miranda Cosgrove will reprise their roles when the movie is released in June 2013.
