Jorge Lorenzo captivates Indonesians with his biking

Two-time MotoGP champion Jorge Lozenzo was the cynosure of all eyes as he mesmerised the crowd with his incredible driving skills at the 10th Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race here today.
The Yamaha Factory Racing Team member took two laps of the Sentul International Circuit on YZF-R6 drawing loud cheers from the 15,000 people present here.
The 26-year-old Spaniard performed spectacular stunts in front of a young and enthusiastic crowd on the race day here.
He took three joy laps of the circuit and later led a group of superbikers for another round of the 3.96km track.
This after early morning showers threatened to affect the event. But, as the day progressed, and the weather clearing up, motorsport enthusiasts began flocking the venue situated nearly 50km from the Indonesian capital.

Meanwhile, popular Indonesian rock band Noah performed at the opening ceremony of the race. All the riders from the six nations were ceremoniously welcomed wit a march past in front of the colourful Indonesian fans.

The race day started with the Japanese motor giant organising a driving education session that saw hundreds of school kids learning about safe riding under Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) program.
The YSRS for Kids course was aimed at giving children an early opportunity to learn about skills for safer motorcycle riding using the Yamaha "PW50" bike for the youth.
ASEAN countries -- India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines -- participated in this 10th edition of the one-make international racing championships while the Japanese were invited as a special entry.

The two-day event saw participation from 41 riders in two categories -- Sport (ST) Class and Manual Transmission (MT) Class.
