JSPL to rebuild homes in flood affected Kashmir valley

Jindal Steel and Power's CSR arm JSPL Foundation has joined hands with Habitat for Humanity India to rebuild 20 homes for the flood affected people in the Kashmir Valley.
"The initiative, Project Gulzar, will support flood victims in the state during a period of one year from April 1, 2015 to March 30, 2016 through shelter interventions for flood affected families," JSPL said in a statement.
JSPL Foundation will fund the cost of the project to the extent of Rs 88 lakh towards its implementation, it added. The homes will be located in Bandipora district and families will be selected from the government data.

Chuaungo appointed as Chairman of Gujarat Industries Power * Gujarat Industries Power Company today said L Chuaungo, an IAS officer, has been appointed as its Chairman.
"...Pursuant to the Articles of Association of the Company, the Government of Gujarat has nominated L Chuaungo, an IAS officer, as the chairman of the company with immediate effect," Gujarat Industries Power Company said in a filing.
Chuaungo was already Managing Director of the Company. "In view of above, L Chuaungo, IAS, is now Chairman and Managing Director of the company with immediate effect," it said.

Lumia handsets to get free Windows 10 upgrade * Microsoft will roll out free upgrade to Windows 10 for all Lumia devices running on versions Windows 8 and above.
"All Lumia handsets with Windows 8 and above will get an opportunity to upgrade to Windows 10 version OS which is expected to be launched in the second half of 2015," Nokia India Sales GM (East) Kislay Kumar said here today.
He said while speaking on the occasion of the launch of Lumia 640 and 640XL that only a few early Lumia handsets would be out of this upgrade.

NSE conducting teachers training programme in Nagaland * National Stock Exchange today said it is conducting a five-day teachers training programme at Kohima, Nagaland.
The program which started on April 6 will continue till April 10.
Last year, NSE had entered into a partnership with the Nagaland Board of School Education to offer a Financial Markets Management course for the students of class XI and XII. The course commenced from the 2014-15 academic session.
