A senior varsity official told PTI, the panel consisted of Dean of students, representatives of engineering students' union FETSU, arts faculty students' union AFSU and some professors.
The committee members discussed the alleged incident and decided to start proceedings from tomorrow.
The male student's version will be recorded since he had alleged that his seniors had stripped him in the varsity compound 10 days ago, the official said.
The committee will inform the VC, who is currently away, about the follow-up action once he returns, the official said.
They asserted that no act of ragging would be tolerated in the campus.
We are determined to weed out ragging from the campus, a member of JUTA said.
