The concert took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday night, Dec 14.
During the 33-year-old singer's 20/20 Experience concert, Timberlake noticed the 10-year-old boy, who was dressed in a white tuxedo, and the youngster handed the pop star a small box, seen in an online video.
Timberlake opened the box and found a bow tie, which he called the 'greatest gift ever', and as the star held the gift up to his neck, the young fan began to cry, which prompted Timberlake to exclaim, 'Now your mom's mad at me!'
Timberlake went towards the back of the stage to put the present down, and was overcome with emotion, telling the fan, "I love you, kiddo. You're the coolest dude here."
He then said to the audience, "That got me," and went on with the show.
The 'Suit & Tie' hitmaker's gig attracted celebrity fans including Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Jay Z, who briefly joined him onstage.
