Samajwadi Party has urged the electorate to verify their votes through VVPAT during polling on May 28 for the Kairana Lok Sabha by-election.
The Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machine is connected with EVMs and dispenses a paper proof for the voters so that they can verify that their vote is cast correctly.
"Every voter should use VVPAT receipt for checking the vote one has cast on the EVM," UP SP chief Naresh Uttam Patel said here yesterday while addressing an election rally in Simbhalka village in Kairana.
He also alleged that farmers were facing financial problems as BJP government has failed to clear dues of farmers pending on sugar mills in the state.
