He termed the the successive governments at the Centre responsible for the alienation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian mainstream.
The Centre should make sincere efforts to provide autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, Kamal, who is the uncle of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said.
